Jessica Pegula Defeats Coco Gauff To Reach Biggest Final Of Career At Wta Finals In Cancun

Jessica Pegula reached the biggest final of her career by defeating Coco Gauff at the WTA Finals.

It was the first all-American semifinal at the WTA Finals in 21 years.

Pegula took an early lead against Gauff, winning 6-2, 6-1.

A rain delay briefly interrupted their match.

Gauff managed to win a game after the rain delay, but Pegula continued her winning streak.

Pegula thanked the fans for braving the tough weather conditions.

Before this, Pegula had success in three WTA 1000 events.

She won two of those events, in Guadalajara and Montreal.

She also finished as a runner-up in Madrid.

With her win over Gauff, Pegula maintained her undefeated record for the year when winning the first set.
