Josh Dobbs Credits Mike Tomlin For His Preparation

Josh Dobbs, a former Steelers quarterback, has been a part of five different NFL teams since the start of the 2022 season.

He was traded twice during the preseason, making his journey through various teams quite eventful.

Dobbs' most recent move was from the Arizona Cardinals to the Minnesota Vikings just before the NFL trade deadline.

Initially, Dobbs wasn't expected to play for the Vikings this week, as he had joined the team only a few days before the game.

However, when rookie Jaren Hall got injured during the game, Dobbs had to step in as the quarterback.

In a remarkable performance, Dobbs threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning score with less than 30 seconds left in the game.

He also added to his impressive performance by running for another touchdown, leading the Vikings to victory against the Atlanta Falcons and improving their record to 5-4.

When asked about his mindset when he had to take over the game, Dobbs mentioned the valuable lesson he learned from his former coach, Mike Tomlin.

Dobbs emphasized that in the NFL, there's no room for excuses based on your circumstances; people just want to see you succeed.

Dobbs began his NFL journey with the Steelers from 2017 to 2019, then was traded to the Jaguars in 2020.
