Oklahoma, Missouri rise in bowl expectations after dominating conferences

This football season has been remarkably stable for bowl predictions, especially for the College Football Playoff and New Year's Six bowls.

The College Football Playoff projections have remained unchanged for several weeks, making it a relatively predictable season.

The Big 12 has seen some chaos, except for the current leader, Texas. Upset losses by Kansas and Oklahoma State have shuffled the bowl projections.

In the SEC, Missouri and Tennessee have traded places in the bowl projections following Missouri's convincing win over Tennessee.

The Mountain West race has become a bit messy, with initially high hopes for a team to make it to a New Year's Six game now fading due to multiple teams having at least two losses.

Tulane, ranked 23rd in the CFP Rankings, is currently leading among the Group of Five teams for a spot in the New Year's Six.

The Sun Belt is having a standout season, with ten teams projected to be bowl eligible, including undefeated James Madison.

James Madison, with an undefeated record, is projected as an alternate in case there aren't enough eligible teams, showcasing the Sun Belt's depth.

Despite Sun Belt's success, there are only 12 bowl games available for its teams, leaving six teams in this week's projections potentially ineligible unless there are openings in other conferences.

With stable predictions and few changes, brace yourself for the potential chaos in the last few weeks, as strong teams and rivals finally face each other, likely resulting in some upsets.
